Letter from Caspar Wistar to Dr. William Bache in care of Hore Browse Trist [manuscript], 1800 July 2.

Caspar Wistar, "Philanthrop," writes to Dr. William Bache re family news, including the marriage of Margaret Bache to William Duane, editor of "The Aurora." Wistar also mentions a rumor he has read in a Baltimore newspaper that Thomas Jefferson is dead and that he is sending a sermon delivered on the death of George Washington by Parson Miller of New York.
